I've been keeping note of my favourite stitch related finds made by independent crafters or small businesses. Here's my 2013 top 6 picks.
Hand embroidered Christmas card by LesFilsRouges. £4.74
Check out other stitched paper goods here: www.lesfilsrouges.eklablog.com
100% hand made using metallic threads (and a lot of patience) in France.
Digital knit hip flask by LiquidCourage. £12.57
Husband and wife duo from Tennessee design and print their own designs onto vinyl which are then wrapped around stainless steel hip flasks.
Custom made bunting from Squibblybubs. £5 per character, above example would be £30.
Okay, so this photo isn't the most festive of all my finds but imagine this hung up in your home with 'merry friggin christmas' embroidered into it. What. A. Vision. Hand made here in the UK!

DIY Christmas ornament kit by RedGateStitchery. £18.85
I'm one of those people that abide by 'less is more' when it comes to stitching and I guess that's why I'm drawn to these. The kit comes with everything you'll need to stitch up these decorations which have a distinct 'modern Scandinavian' feel.

Not on the high street finds:
Cross stitch Christmas pud ornament by The Bellwether. £16
Does this wee pud pud melt your heart? The kit has everything you need to melt the heart of others. I'm a massive fan of Claire's work and would recommend you visit her website here: www.thebellwether.co.uk
Stag head knitted cushion by Nervous Stitch. £88.
Knitted using super soft Scottish lambs wool, this cushion would bring festive cheer to any interior.
Jenny McHardy who is behind Nervous Stitch (and a Royal College of Art graduate might I add) has more bright and bold illustrative knitted pieces which can be found here: www.notonthehighstreet.com/nervousstitch. Well worth a look.
